Once Upon A Time in Shanghai
Chemistry: OK Relationship: Colleagues Work Again: Neutral Cheng is one of the all-time favorite veterans in HK. She became a TVB actress way back in the '70s, frequently paired with Chow Yun Fat. Although Cheng recently succeed in the hit War of the Genders, she is semi-retired from acting. Today, Cheng spent most of her time as a news anchor at TVB and MC for TVB's special events. Her pairing with Maggie is mentionable but it was forgettable. Off screen, they are good colleagues but never had a close-knitted relationship like Maggie would have with other veterans who worked with her. Once Upon A Time in Shanghai In this series, Dodo likes a man who is seriously in love with Maggie. Their relationship is very distant as Maggie is cold towards almost everybody. In the many scenes where Dodo approach Maggie and confront her about their lover, Dodo is the one doing most of the talking and Maggie is as cold and ruthless as usual. In this way, it's hard to see whether or not they have good chemistry. Only toward the end that the chemistry begins to be exposed because Maggie has become open toward Dodo...unfortunately, those were her last moments.
