Chemistry: Excellent Relationship: Friends, Soul-mates Work Again: Positive Needless to say, Lam is the best thing that happened to Maggie since becoming an actress. Making friends with celebrities is hard, Maggie would say, but Lam confessed that it was not hard, especially if it's because of fate. Lam started as an extra who shared a small cubicle with friends and ended up being a leading man with fame and fortune, now signed a million-dollar contract with Andy Lau's NMG. His chemistry with Maggie is perfect whether they played stubborn lovers or quarrelsome neighbors. The excellent chemistry carried on to on-stage co-hosting and concerts. Once Upon a Time in Shanghai Lam and Maggie meet for the first time in this series even though they don't have many scenes together. Lam played Maggie's husband's right-hand man. A Recipe For the Heart Lam has a cameo appearance in this series. To Catch A Thief Technically this should be the first time they work together. Although the pairing involved no romantic relationships, Lam and Maggie showed that they have great chemistry. Lam played a con-artist and Maggie played a side-show artist. One is extremely manipulative and one is very naive. Lam pulled Maggie into lots of trouble. It's more like a sibling pairing, which is great because it shows the versatility degree of their chemistry. Plain Love II This is the series that showed it all. Besides snapping awards for their dual performances, they mesh so well that there were even speculations of some off-screen romance between the two given their status as best friends. Old Time Buddy the Musical The pairing is similar to To Catch a Thief. Gala Spectacular 2001 While both may not be excellent masters of ceremony, fans can easily detected chemistry between the two. For example, finishing off each other's sentence, giving eye signals, knowing when and how to react to other's jokes or stutters.
