A Kindred Spirit & the musical
Chemistry: OK Relationship: Colleagues Work Again: Neutral Lee was already a famous actress before Maggie was born. Contemporary audience from the last 2 decades know her as Yeung Hong's mom in The Legend of the Condor Heroes '82, or more recently, Ah Sin in A Kindred Spirit (KS). After being a part of KS for 5 years, the show ended in late 1999 primarily due to low ratings, but beneath that reason, it is due to Lee's unfortunate situation--she is diagnosed with the big "C"--cancer. Thus, the musical is a celebration of the ending of KS by telling the audience the story behind the scene, in short, a tribute to Louisa Lee Sze Kei. A Kindred Spirit & the musical Lee doesn't have that many scenes with Maggie in the KS series. But they have several scenes together in the musical. Maggie even play the young Lee, sing Lee's old song, and her quarrel scene with Lee herself. These scenes are well done. The way Maggie battles up her acting to match Lee is impressive.
