Chemistry: Poor Relationship: Colleagues Work Again: Neutral Ng didn't have a good start pairing with Maggie in When a Man Loves a Woman, fans detected no chemistry between the two, although still skeptical that it's due to the fewer scenes they have together in the film. But Police Station No.7 proved fans right, they have no chemistry. Ng is a TVB actor since the '80s along with his brother, Ng Kai Ming. At that time Ng took up a lot of villain roles, which made him famous. But gradually he becomes the guy everyone hates. Moreover, Ng's messy marriage and divorced got him out of the showbiz and back in with porno films, making him unwanted by most companies. In the late '90s, Ng brushed off his unwanted image and returned to TVB as the clean-cut and classy looking actor. Ng refused to take villain roles to maintain a good image, but other criticized that he had limited himself. When a Man Loves a Woman Ng played a hitman who did not care for his loving bartender girlfriend, Maggie. No chemistry. Police Station No.7 Lo and Maggie work together for the first time where both are leading actors. A lot of screen time were devoted to their chemistry. No doubt, this is their source of chemistry before Old Time Buddy. Gallen is a scientific professor while Maggie is a superstitious journalist.
